#1The way your shot pattern looks on the left target shows that you may not be pulling the trigger properly. Remember to pull the trigger slow and smooth. The shot should almost surprise you.#2Make sure you are getting the exact same cheek to stock weld everytime. Changing up your eye relief on every shot will open up your groups. #3Concentrate on your breathing. Make sure you are nice and relaxed. Take a nice deep relaxed breath then exhale about 3/4 of the way out and hold. teem123 is right on

The weapon must point naturally towards the target without any undue physical effort scopesight alignment and breathe in and out you will see the weapon must point naturally towards the weapon must be correct shot must point naturally towards the reticule go down and up respectively.

Its not the trigger, it is the shooter I think. When your rounds impact high and low, you are anticipating the recoil and probably pushing or pulling off the gun very slightly, which throws the shot up or down.
Get some snap caps in 308 and practice dry firing a lot just 100% focusing on the reticule, the break of the trigger should be a surprise. Then go to the range and have a friend load the gun with live ammo and snap caps, and you will see how much it helps you focus on not flinching.
