they have just started clamping down on ballistic vests in canada ._. so not sure what you have to go through to get one now but probably a lot of paperwork and such.

Buying Blackhawk vest was a mistake.
I bought a Blackhawk Omega Elite Tactical vest. Blackhawk advertised it has 3 pouches that each hold 2 AR 15 mags. This is false.
I cannot hold one Magpul mag with one old alum mag, it can only hold 1 Magpul.
Called Blackhawk; they said they knew this, but too bad. Don’t think I’ll buy anymore Blackhawk.

If you use a slug in the shotgun, you scarifice the guns primary advantage; shot spread and hit probability. If you’re gonna use slugs your better off with an AK/AR which has better range/larger ammo loads, etc. IMHO That said my Saiga 12 (with the tactical conversion) would be my choice in CQC.

For neibourhood defence point wouldnt shotgun with deer slug do more when your engagment is normaly under 100 yards.

My vest came with buckles and fast techs on EVERY Mag holder….Yeah its kinda bulky but it makes me feel more secure in that my Ammo will ALWAYS be on me. No Matter What.

For ar mags also its not very difficult at all to your thigh.
