Is it safe to look at a green lazer down a riflescope at 30 yards?

If you do you are an idiot, look at ANY laser is a very bad idea.

to look at the green dot on your target is fine, even through a scope. However if you look into the beam directly it is not good for your eyes. By this I mean shinning it directly into your eyes.
